Need:
- Fresh Mutter / Green peas ( 2 cups) 300 gms
- Panner/ Cottage cheese ( Diced into small pieces)
- Cashewnuts - 12 Nos. full nuts.
- Onions - 1 medium (chopped)
- Tomatoes - 1 Medium (Chopped)
- Garlic - 2 cloves (can add more if needed) - Chopped ( Can add ginger if needed)
- Green chillies - 2 ( slit into 2 )
- Turmeric powder a pinch ( if needed 1 tsp of Jeera and Corriander powder)
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 3 tblsp for frying Paneeer and 1 tblspn for cooking Mutter Paneer
- Corriander leaves - Finely Chopped.
- Heat 3 tbsp Oil in Frying pan
- Once the Oil is hot Add Paneer and fry till light golden brown
- Make sure that Paneer doesn't get over Fried.
- Grind the soaked Cashew along with 1 or 2 slits of green chillies.
- you can increase and decrease the amount of green chillies based on how spicy you need.
- Parallely Heat 1tsp oil in another Kadai.
- Add 1 tsp of Jeera, Once Jeera is fried, Add garlic, ginger and Slit Green chillies and saute.
- Then add onions and fry till Golden brown.
- Add Tomoatoes, and saute the mixture.
- Add 2 Tsp of water for the mixture and continue to stir, till water leaves from gravy.
- Now add Red Chilli powder, Coriander powder, Jeera , Turmeric powder and mix well.
- Lower the flame and cook for 2 mins.
- Add Cashewnut paste to the Mixture.
- Stir well as the gravy thickens.
- Add the fried paneer and Green peas to this mixture(Gravy)
- Add salt to taste.
- Mix Throughly till the Paneer and Green peas blend into the Gravy.
- Sprinkle Finely chopped Corriander leaves and serve hot with any indian Breads/Rice.
if you want this little spicy, you can reduce the amount of Cashewnuts and at step 6 add more of red chilli powder.
